BOONVILLE- Shirley Rae Hillyer Baxter, 80, passed away suddenly on July 6, 2023 at her home.

Shirley was born in Washington D.C. on November 24, 1942 a daughter of Edgar and Jane Marcy Hillyer.

She is survived by her loving husband, Benjamin Baxter, who she was happily married to for 38 years; a son, Richard "Shannon" Barth; a step daughter, Christine Pfendler and step son, Donald Baxter; her pride and joy 8 grandchildren, Morgan and Ryan Barth and fiancé Kelsey Meyers, Mason and Wyatt (Kendra) Pfendler, Owen Baxter, Tyler Smith Shirley is predeceased by her brother Carl Hillyer in 2012 and an infant brother James Frederick in 1940.

Shirley will always be remembered as a world traveler, a great story teller and a great cook.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post Street, Boonville with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Boonville Cemetery. For an online message of sympathy please go to Mills Funeral Home website.
