Stuart Carl Bourgeois
Boonville – On May 16, 2023 Stuart left his earthly presence to join his friends and loved ones above.
Stuart Carl Bourgeois was born on December 3rd, 1927 in Utica, NY a son of Carl and Gladys (Williams) Bourgeois and a sibling to Pauline, James and Ronald.
He graduated from Boonville Central School in 1945 and Clarkson College of Technology in 1950. Stuart started his career as a Prudential Insurance agent until he was hired as an advanced business machines teacher at the Glenfield BOCES. He retired in June of 1989 after 22 years of service. From then on he assisted his sons in various duties in the growth of the family run businesses for CJ Logging Equipment and 3B Timber Company.
Stuart met his soon to be wife Janet Farr at Slim's Restaurant and was introduced by a mutual friend—and that was "IT". The two were united in marriage on August 6, 1955 at St. Joseph's Church in Boonville by Rev. Edward Goulett, a blessed union that lasted over 65 years.
Stuart LOVED his wife, Janet, his two sons and their spouses, Mark and Linda Bourgeois and Gary and Charlotte Bourgeois; his four grandchildren and spouses and nine great grandchildren. He cherished all of them. Stuart was predeceased by his wife Janet in November of 2020, his parents, his sister Pauline (Bourgeois) Simpson and his brother James Bourgeois.
Stuart LOVED hunting, fishing, camp life, golfing, playing cards, watching sport games of his grandchildren and great grandchildren, watching birds and making people laugh.
Stuart LOVED and adored his best friend and companion Rudy (the famous#1 dog) – he even had the tag to prove it! He took him everywhere he went.
Stuart LOVED the New York Yankees – when they won!
Stuart LOVED to make his children anxious by not always knowing where he was or what he was doing.
Stuart LOVED to drive his side by side for daily activities – but sometimes too fast!
Stuart LOVED to take his side-by side to Burger King down the street for his favorite treat – a vanilla milkshake.
