The Town Board has retained LaBella Associates to assist in preparing the Plan, which will serve as a long-range policy document to guide Remsen’s future growth, development, and preservation efforts. A Comprehensive Plan is a strategic planning document that establishes a community-driven vision for the future. It evaluates existing conditions, identifies key issues and opportunities, and sets forth goals and recommendations related to land use, housing, economic development, infrastructure, transportation, agriculture, natural resources, and community services. Once adopted, the Plan will guide local decision-making, zoning updates, and capital investments over the coming years. Community engagement is a critical component of the planning process. Survey responses will help identify topics the Comprehensive Plan should address, such as economic development, agriculture, open space preservation, housing needs, infrastructure improvements, recreational amenities, and strategies to maintain Remsen’s rural character. The survey is available online at the following link and QR code: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RemsenCompPlan Additional information about the Comprehensive Plan process, meeting materials, and project updates can be found on the Town’s website. For the past 20 years, this beloved community event has proudly benefited the SoZo Teen Center, making a lasting impact on local youth and families. Golfers, community members, and local businesses are invited to enjoy a memorable day of friendly competition, exceptional hospitality, and meaningful giving. The tournament will kick off with a 9:00 am shotgun start and feature a full day of player amenities and on-course excitement. Participants will enjoy breakfast, snacks and lunch on the course, exciting contests and prizes, and a post-tournament reception featuring gourmet hors d’oeuvres prepared by CHJC’s own Chef Chris Manning.
