THENDARA-October 19th and 26th Adirondack Railbike Adventures has teamed up with the Adirondack Central School for a spine tingling fundraising event to benefit the classes of 2026 & 2028. They will get you into the Halloween spirit with a spooky haunted railbike tour!. All rides 6pm and later will have you pedaling back to the safety of our Station. OLD FORGE-Plan to boogie down on Friday, October 25th from 2:30-4:30. Stop by for lots of family fun: 80’s music, iron-on patches and paint to transform a canvas bag into a personalized Trick-or-Treat bag (materials provided) and of course, there will be spooky snacks! Costumes are welcome and encouraged. The party is free and open to all.
OLD FORGE-Old Forge library will have free Halloween-themed grab bags full of goodies for kids. Grab n' Go bags will include crafts, activities for kids to work on at home and other surprises. Each contains all the materials and directions to make leaf puppet bookmarks, paper cup ghosts, popsicle stick pumpkins, spiderwebs and witches. These kits may be picked up on Friday, October 25th from 10 am - 4 pm or Saturday, October 26th from 10 am - 2 pm during the library's hours of operation. Bags are most fun for ages 4-11. LYONS FALLS-The Lyons Falls Library, 3918 High Street, is having a Family Halloween Party on Saturday, October 26th, from 10 a.m. to Noon. BJ the Balloon Twister will visit at 11 a.m. for a brief magic show and balloon animal creations!
 
BOONVILLE-Saturday, October 26th from 12pm - 3pm, Trunk or Treat Festival will be taking place at the Boonville Fairgrounds. CONSTABLEVILLE-Come to Constable Hall for some great fall fun!  Chrissy Southwick from Hunter Hack Farm will be providing horse and carriage for us from 12-4:00. The cost is just $5.00 per person and she will take cash or Venmo. This is offered as part of the Constableville Fall Festival. Then come enjoy our Haunted Trails and Trick or Treating at the Hall from 4-6:00. We have quite a few new ideas and trails to enjoy, so it will be different than last year. BOO!
 
LOWVILLE-Come for a spooktacular fundraising event on Saturday, October 26th at the Lewis County Historical Society. The CNY Ghost Hunters will be leading two tour groups (7pm-9pm or 9:30 pm-11:30pm) through the old Masonic Temple as they hope to commune with the spirits. Come have a ghastly good time as you step through the darkened building and witness the tools and resources used in ghost hunting. Advance tickets are $45 for members and $50 for non-members. LYONS FALLS-The Lyons Falls Library, 3918 High Street, is holding its first-ever Great Oreo Taste Test Challenge on Thursday, October 31st! Drop by between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to sample an astonishing variety of Oreo flavors and guess their names! All ages are welcome, and costumes are encouraged.
 
BOONVILLE-Get Ready for Another Spooktacular BOOville Event. BOOville is back and better than ever! Thursday, October 31st from 3pm to 6pm will be for a fang-tastic evening of fun, fright, and plenty of treats. The Boonville Village Merchants invite ghosts and goblins of all ages to trick-or-treat through our local businesses.
 
OLD FORGE-The Old Forge library and friends and family will be outside on the library lawn with some added Halloween fun for trick-or-treaters and families during the village-wide Trick or Treat on Thursday, October 31st. All are welcome to warm up by the campfire, and kids get a goodie bag full of corny prizes and Fun Dip. And the public bathroom is an added bonus, especially for the little ones! If you don't get many trick-or-treaters at your house, come join the fun! The library invites other businesses, organizations and individuals to share our lawn and pass out treats to kids.
 
GLENFIELD-3-G Firehall will be open on Halloween night handing out candy from 5pm -7pm on Thursday, October 31st at 6229 Blue St in Glenfield. Drive around to the back of the fire hall to receive your goodie bags!
 
TURIN-Stop at the library on Halloween night!! We will be open from 6-9:00 with Halloween crafts, games and treats, and maybe even a little bit of β€œscary” if you want! BOO!
