18-year old charged with petit larceny granted youthful offender status in West Carthage

WEST CARTHAGE- A resident from Jefferson County is faced with a theft charge in the North Country.

On Saturday night, the New York State Police (Carthage) arrested and charged an 18-year-old suspect from Carthage, NY with one misdemeanor count of petit larceny.

Police did not release a suspect name or gender, due to youthful offender status.

According to Troopers, this arrest stems from a larceny complaint filed last Friday in the village of West Carthage.

At press time, police said the 18-year-old was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
