
LOWVILLE- A village burglary investigation has resulted in the arrest of two local suspects.
On Thursday, the Village Police Department announced the arrests of Dakota W. Tible, 19, and a 14-year-old teenage suspect, whose name was not released (youthful offender status).
Tible is formally charged with a felony count for criminally possessing stolen property in the fourth-degree, along with misdemeanor counts of conspiracy in the fifth-degree and endangering the welfare of a child.
Meanwhile, the youth suspect was formally charged with felony counts of burglary in the third-degree and criminally possessing stolen property in the fourth-degree, along with a misdemeanor of criminal mischief in the fourth-degree.
Back during the early morning hours of February 9, village police officers responded to a burglary at the Smokers Corner on South State Street.
Investigation revealed that Tible and the teen kicked the front door in and managed to steal $2,200 worth of product.
Although police did not specify which suspect, one of them acted as a lookout before they both fled on foot.
At press time, police said that Tible was issued with appearance tickets, which are returnable to Lowville Town Court at a later date.
Meanwhile, the youth was released to Lewis County Probation.
