2026 Midterm Unofficial Election Results

Published on November 04, 2026

Vote 3

Voters flocked to the polls on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 for the midterm election.

There were several Congressional races and other contests all around the country.

Here at home, voters chose a new Representative for New York’s 21st Congressional District.

There were also various state legislative seats that were contested and there were some local races as well.

Here are the unofficial results from our local listening area (per the Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis and Oneida County Board of Elections):

KEY: Bold lettering indicates winner.

New York’s 21st Congressional District (to replace Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik).

***As of publication early Wednesday, November 4, 2026, the race has still yet to be formally called, however; Democratic candidate Blake Gendebien released this following statement acknowledging a likely defeat: “I respect my friends and neighbors too much to concede this race before every vote is counted, but it appears that Anthony Constantino will narrowly win. This isn’t the outcome we worked for, but I could not be more proud of the campaign we ran and the coalition we built,” said Gendebien. “I wish Anthony Constantino well in Congress, and I hope he’ll always put the North Country first. To the more than 85,000 people who chipped in, and to the union members, nurses, teachers, and farmers who gave up their evenings and weekends to knock doors, thank you. You proved that a farmer from Lisbon could put up a strong fight in every corner of this district, and that people here want leaders focused on their lives, not party labels. It has been the honor of my life to be your candidate. I’ll carry the stories of the farmers, veterans, nurses, and working families I met with me every day, and Carmen and I will never stop fighting for this place we love.”

Meanwhile, Republican candidate Anthony Constantino has declared victory and in an obscenity laced speech, reports have surfaced that Mr. Constantino apparently kicked WWNY-TV reporter Garrett Domblewski and the 7 News crew out of his own election night party. According to WWNY-TV, Mr. Constantino called Domblewski and 7 News anchor Jeff Cole "a**holes." He also called a reporter from a different organization a "f**king a**hole.”
