The national average price for a gallon of gas in the U.S. was $3.46 as of Tuesday morning.

According to the AAA, that’s down three-cents from a week-ago and down four-cents from a month-ago. Last-year at this time, drivers were paying a national average of $3.82.

With that said, AAA officials caution that prices may rise again amidst tensions in the Middle East, plus the fact that the peak of hurricane season is nearing.

In New York, drivers are paying an average of $3.58 as of this report. That’s down two-cents from last-week and down four-cents from a month-ago.

Last-year at this time, drivers in New York were paying an average of $3.90.

Locally, motorists are paying as low as $3.59 to fill-up in Lowville, NY and as low as $3.69 in Boonville, NY, according to GasBuddy.

For the most part, prices are ranging similarly in the cities of Watertown and Syracuse, NY, with some select pumps offering significantly cheaper cash prices.

The same can be said for the cities of Rome and Utica, NY, according to the latest from GasBuddy.
