Accident in Alder Creek pending investigation, State Police says

ONEIDA COUNTY- An accident over the weekend in Alder Creek, NY blocked several lanes of traffic, emergency officials say.

It was shortly after 12:30 p.m. Saturday when 9-1-1 dispatchers began taking calls about an accident, with personal injuries, at State Route 28 and State Dam Road intersection.

We reached out to Forestport Fire Department and could not receive any specific details back.

However, Oneida County Emergency Dispatch said several lanes of traffic were blocked off while responders worked the scene.

The State Police in Remsen report the accident involved two victims, both males, including one from the Plattsburgh, NY area and the other from Buffalo, NY.

Emergency response included Forestport Fire Department, Boonville Ambulance, STaR Ambulance and the New York State Police.

The accident scene was cleared shortly before 4:30 p.m.
