ALERT: Sheriff’s Office asking for help in search of missing Lewis County man

LOWVILLE- Authorities are searching for a man from Lowville, NY, who was reported missing as of Sunday afternoon.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office are reporting that Cody Johnson, 39 of Lowville, NY was last seen sometime around 2:30 a.m. Saturday at a residence on Number Four Road, town of Watson.

Police say the last known contact anyone had with Johnson was at around 11:30 a.m. later that same day via telephone.

Cody was last witnessed wearing blue jeans, black boots and a black sweatshirt, with red lettering. He has short, brown colored hair; is 6-foot, 2-inches tall and weighs-in around 195-pounds.

In addition, police say his dog, a brown and white colored pit-bull with a black and white colored harness, is also missing.

State Forest Rangers are currently assisting.
