Boonville Man Threatens To Shoot, Burn Down Arresting Officers House, Police Say

Boonville, June 16- A 26 year old Boonville man was arrested and charged after a traffic stop.

Police say that Brian Coe was stopped after a traffic violation on Erwin Street on the morning of June 16, at 7:56am. Officers conducted field sobriety tests on the scene and determined that Coe was allegedly intoxicated. He was taken to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Field Office, in Barneveld, where Coe also allegedly threatened to shoot the arresting officer’s family and burn their house down.

Coe reportedly registered a .17% BAC. After threatening the officer and the officer’s family, he was charged with Menacing in the 3rd Degree and arraigned in the Town of Forestport Court. He posted $1,000 cash bail. Coe is scheduled to answer the charges in the Village of Boonville Court at a later date. No further details were released.
