Boonville Police arrest suspect for allegedly stealing pocketbook from Main Street address

BOONVILLE- A village resident is accused of stealing a pocketbook. Boonville Police said they responded to a complaint last Wednesday afternoon at 162 Main Street.

Investigation resulted in the arrest of Nicole A. Lewis, 53, of Boonville, NY for grand larceny in the fourth-degree, petit larceny and resisting arrest.

It is alleged that Lewis stole someone’s pocketbook from inside the residence. The pocketbook reportedly contained various credit cards and other personal property.

While police tried taking Lewis into custody on scene, she allegedly resisted.

Lewis was processed at the Boonville Police Department before she was taken to Oneida County CAP Court, where she was remanded on $500 bail.

The charges are returnable to Boonville Town Court at a later date.
