BOONVILLE- Police officials are currently investigating a recent vandalism in Erwin Park, which appears to have involved “numerous” individuals.

According to the Village Police Department, a group of subjects drove into the Route 12 entrance at the lower pavilion late Friday night.

Investigation has determined that a recycling bin was destroyed, while another trash receptacle was knocked over and litter scattered all over.

“It looks like they specifically drove in there to do that,” Officer in Charge Fred Robenski told us.

Police say these subjects arrived in a dark colored SUV, possibly dark blue or black.

In addition, officials from the village office told us that a sign was stolen.
