Boonville resident involved in car v. school bus accident in Onondaga County

SALINA- A local resident was involved in a school bus accident this week in Onondaga County.

It happened shortly before 8:30 a.m. Monday in the town of Salina, near the Orchard Estates apartments.

According to investigation via the New York State Police, Flynn R. Hughes-Trombley, 25, of Syracuse, NY was operating a 2002 Pontiac. While backing up, it’s reported that Trombley struck a Liverpool School Bus, driven by Robert J. Miller, 58, of Boonville, NY.

The school bus was occupied by Kenneth McMillan, 70, a school bus aide from Syracuse, NY, and two male child passengers, ages two and four.

No injuries were reported.

Trombley was issued a ticket for unsafe backing of a vehicle.

State Police were assisted by North Area Volunteer Ambulance Corp on scene.
