LOWVILLE- A local teenager is accused of threatening staff members at the Jack J. Boak Educational Center, authorities say.

Lowville Police Department charged a 15-year-old teenager from Boonville, NY on Tuesday with one count of stalking in the fourth-degree.

Authorities did not provide a name or gender for the suspect. 

According to Chief of Police Daryl Ortlieb, patrols were called to the center after the teen reportedly made inappropriate comments and threats against staff members and their families. 

As of press time, police did not describe any further nature or context of the alleged comments.    

The teen was summoned to Lewis County Probation.
