WATERTOWN- It seems like there is a lot of anticipation for the 24th annual North Country Chili Cook Off to return to its original home base - the Dulles State Office Building.
The last time Dulles State Office Building featured this major fundraiser for the Volunteer Transportation Center (VTC) was February, 2020, right before the COVID shutdowns.
The past two-years have featured a chili crawl format to keep the event going until it could happily return to the Dulles State Office Building. That will be Saturday, February 25.
Meanwhile, we've been told that the chili crawl is here to stay and that will kick-off February 1 through the 22. Several establishments across the tri-county region have signed-up to serve their chili, according to VTC Foundation Director Jeremiah Papineau.
"So this year we are sitting very well," Papineau told us. "We're looking at about the same number as we had last-year, just a little over 30 restaurants that have signed-up and we've even had a few new ones come on-board as well, too."
The VTC website will soon have a full list of participating establishments.
Be sure to listen to our latest on-air update with Jeremiah Papineau for more details:
