Published on July 07, 2022

TOWN OF INLET-A 19 year old Connecticut man was arrested for attacking Police Officers and a Paramedic in the Town Of Inlet. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred early morning on the Fourth of July.   At approximately 5:30AM Monday morning, Town of Inlet police received a call of a man in front of the Inlet Common School reportedly holding two large knives and threatening suicide by police. Steiner was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica for treatment then transported back to Inlet on July 6th for arraignment. He was charged with Assault on a Police Officer or Emergency Services Professional, Menacing a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Assault in the 2nd Degree and 2 counts of Harassment.
