
INLET- A resident from the Western Adirondacks is accused of breaking someone’s arm during a dispute Thanksgiving Day, authorities say.
Sidney Payne III, 32, of Inlet, NY was arrested Sunday afternoon by the Town of Inlet Police. Payne III is officially charged with assault in the third-degree.
The arrest reportedly stems from a previous argument Saturday at an address on Deerwood Drive. Inlet Police Chief Ron Johnston says investigation into Saturday’s dispute revealed more details about the Thanksgiving Day fight.
It’s alleged that Payne III pulled a woman’s arm behind her back, causing a fracture.
Following arraignment via Long Lake Town Court, Payne III was released under New York’s Bail Reform Law.
However, Payne III was remanded to Hamilton County Jail on Tuesday when the court issued a warrant for violating probation.
Police say the court also issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.
