LOWVILLE- A local resident is faced with an accusation in the wake of a domestic dispute last month in Lowville, authorities say.
Matthew J. Burriss, 40, of Lowville, NY was arrested and formally charged by the village police for one misdemeanor count of assault in the third-degree.
According to Chief of Police Daryl Ortlieb, the arrest was made after officers investigated a reported domestic dispute on June 30.
An address or street location was not provided.
Following processing, Burriss was released with an appearance ticket, which is returnable to Lowville Town Court at a later date.
