ONEIDA COUNTY- Authorities are investigating what is confirmed to be a double fatal fire in Northern Oneida County.

Details as of this update remain limited, but Forestport Fire Department was the primary responder to a fully involved structure blaze early Saturday on the Nichols Mills Road, town of Forestport, near the Kincaid Road intersection.

It happened shortly before 1:30 a.m., according to emergency dispatch officials.

Sheriff's investigators have yet to provide an exact address.

It was reported that two males made their way from the camp, which at the time was fully engulfed in flames, to a neighboring residence, where they were able to get the home owner to call 9-1-1.

These two individuals were treated by the fire department and transported to the hospital by ambulance for burn injuries.

Through investigation so far, it is determined that there were two more victims that did not make it out of the fire, and were confirmed deceased at the scene.

At this time, investigators are working to positively identify both decease victims and make contact with next of kin.

Investigators are currently trying to determine the cause of the fire, and are still on scene.

No further information will be released until there is a positive identification and next of kin have been contacted.
