Firefighters contain blaze in Boonville to garage

BOONVILLE- A structure fire Friday late afternoon was contained.

It was sometime around 3:00 p.m. when the Fire Department was called out to a structure fire on James Street, though there was no exact address provided in the initial social media reports published by emergency officials.

An aggressive interior attack executed by firefighters resulted in a successful containment to the garage.

Mutual aid was provided thanks to Constableville and Remsen was placed on standby.
