BOONVILLE- In 2010, Pat Lindsey and family, former owners of Luigi's Pizzeria, sparked a genuine and kind initiative, one that was aimed to provide a place for folks who may not have any nearby friends or relatives to celebrate Thanksgiving with.
Pat has said numerous times that the Lord touched his heart with an inspiration to offer a free Thanksgiving meal to people and families who may be without, or may be under unfortunate circumstances.
Whatever the case was, it didn't matter - as all were welcome to the table at Luigi's for Thanksgiving.
In a rather shocking development, 2024 will be the first year since this tradition began that Luigi's will not be offering their Thanksgiving dinner.
"I would like to thank everybody, because it's coming up on Thanksgiving, for all of the volunteers, all of the donations," former owner Pat Lindsey told us.
"This whole community that made it so much easier for me and wife to do what we did for fifteen-years."

For context, Lindsey says the new owners are not in a position to be able to carry on the tradition just themselves this year. Furthermore, Lindsey mentioned some health issues that have made an impact on his day-to-day life.
Although there will be no Thanksgiving dinner this year at Luigi's, the Lindsey family hopes that it can return for next-year.
On behalf of Luigi's Pizzeria, Pat and his family would like to thank everyone who volunteered over the years, including the delivery drivers and those who contributed with food and monetary donations.
