LEWIS COUNTY- Saturday held a special memorial golf tournament at Cedars Golf Course just north of Lowville, honoring Brian Western.

The tournament is in memory of Western, who was a longtime friend of J.r. and Diana Chamberlin, who own the course.

Cedars has been in the Chamberlin family name now for quite some time and according to some of the latest updates from WWNY-TV, the tournament this year had a touch of magic to it.

The front-nine offers quite a challenge – even for some of the most seasoned golfers. On the 8th hole, a par-three, J.r. managed to pull something off he had never done before.

With one sure swing of the club, J.r.’s ball soared into the air, onto the green and into the cup – just like that.

It’s reported this hole-in-one for Chamberlin was an incredibly special moment on a special day to honor his friend in an extra special way.
