Forest Rangers issue 10 illegal ATV/UTV operation tickets on Tug Hill, DEC says

PINCKNEY- New York State DEC issued nearly a dozen tickets during a special ATV operation last weekend on Tug Hill.

On Saturday, September 16, Forest Rangers Hanno and Thomes set up a stationary patrol on Mile Strip Road, located in the Tug Hill State Forest, town of Pinckney, Lewis County.

Officials say Mile Strip Road is a seasonal road and becomes part of the snowmobile trail system once the snow falls, but is strictly not for any kind of ATV use.

While at the checkpoint, DEC managed to issue a total of 10 tickets for illegal operation of an ATV and/or UTV.
