Ft. Drum Soldiers on Lockdown After Missing Equipment

Published on April 18, 2015

A lockdown of a Fort Drum unit is on after a set of night vision goggles went missing. Roughly 125 soldiers of Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, and 2nd Brigade Combated Team have been detained since Wednesday evening. The soldiers are restricted to be with their company; however, they have access to the dining facility or MREs and were also allowed a short leave on Friday to retrieve comfort items. This lockdown could last weeks until said goggles are found.
