ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY- The race for NY-21 in 2026 was tight as it has ever been recently.

Immediately following the 2026 mid-term election Tuesday evening, Republican candidate Anthony Constantino declared a victory.

As a follow up, his Constantino for Congress Facebook page published two sources Wednesday evening projecting him to be the winner of NY-21, including Decision Desk HQ and Gateway Pundit.

The republican started with quite a deficit when the polls closed Tuesday night, but made up lots of ground and remains about 6,000 votes ahead of his Democratic opponent, Blake Gendebien.

WNYT News Channel 13 out of Albany, NY published Wednesday evening that Mr. Constantino is the winner of NY-21 by about 5,700 votes.

Mr. Gendebien previously acknowledged this week a likely victory for Constantino, though has still not yet formally conceded as far as Flack Broadcasting is aware. “I respect my friends and neighbors too much to concede this race before every vote is counted, but it appears that Anthony Constantino will narrowly win,” he said in a released statement.

“I wish Anthony Constantino well in Congress, and I hope he’ll always put the North Country first,” he added.

When this report was published Thursday morning, NBC News reported there were still 13,000 votes left to be counted – with nearly 96% expected votes already in.

Anthony Constantino so far has over 140,000 votes, while Gendebien is just shy of 134,400.

During his speech late Tuesday night, Constantino threw WWNY News 7 reporter Garrett Domblewski and the rest of the team out of the gathering.

According to reports from the news station, Domblewski was unsure as to why they were kicked out of Constantino’s party.

In fact, News 7 said their reporter had what they called a “cordial” interview with Constantino earlier the same evening, which aired later on that night.

Additionally, News 7 has claimed how they were formally invited to Constantino’s election night party along with other news media outlets and that an email from Constantino’s campaign team stated how they were “looking forward to seeing you all.”

In his speech reportedly laced with strong language, Constantino used extremely vulgar terms to jab at News 7 and another reporter from a separate news outlet.

According to WWNY-TV, Constantino called Domblewski and 7 News anchor Jeff Cole a**holes. He also called a reporter from a different organization a “f**king a**hole.”

Constantino then ordered Domblewski to leave and led the crowd in a chant, “Kick him out. Kick him out.”

While Domblewski was led outside by a small group of security guards, Constantino and the crowd chanted, “F**k the evil media.”

It is reported that Constantino went on to bash the “evil media,” which is something he did during the annual Lewis County Republican dinner last month.

Flack Broadcasting will be updating with any new developments that surface.
