Get ready: Maple Weekend, 2023 aimed for March 18-19 and 25-26

Get ready – Maple Weekend is approaching. Aimed for March 18-19 and March 25-26.

Maple Weekend serves as an opportunity for New Yorkers and visitors to learn about our maple industry, including how the sap is boiled down into that sweet, golden goodness.

In fact, we have been told by one local official that some producers here in the North Country have already started boiling.

2023 marks the 27th year for Maple Weekend. It originally started in 1995, as a single “Maple Sunday.”

Sugar houses across the entire state will be open for visitors to stop by and see the numerous different methods used to gather and boil down sap, including modern and traditional.

Most maple producers will have fresh product to sample and purchase.
