Glenfield Man Accused of Felony D.W.I.

TOWN OF WATSON-A 62 year old Glenfield man is facing a felony D.W.I. charge following a Friday afternoon vehicle stop on Number Four Road in the Town of Watson. Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies said that Michael J. Lyng was operating a 2021 Kia east on the Number 4 Road when he was observed passing another vehicle in a no passing zone. Upon further investigation, Lyng appeared to be intoxicated. He then failed field sobriety tests at the scene. He was then transported to the Lewis County Public Safety Building where he reportedly registered a .14 % Blood Alcohol Content. Lyng was charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated due to a prior conviction. He was also charged with other traffic infractions. Lyng was processed and was released with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Watson Court at a later date. Deputies were assisted at the scene by New York State Police troopers.
