WASHINGTON, D.C. & ALBANY, NY- Governor Kathy Hochul says the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act, 2022 is a “monumental step forward” in the fight against inflation, while North Country Congresswoman – Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21) voted against the measure and blasted Democratic colleagues on both sides of the isle.

The bill will soon be on the way to President Biden’s desk.

"The Inflation Reduction Act is the perfect companion to our ongoing efforts in New York help families with the rising cost of living, from our nation-leading investments in clean energy to the tax relief we've delivered for middle-class homeowners,” Governor Hochul said.

“I look forward to President Biden signing this bill into law — and to implementing these historic changes right here in New York."

However, Stefanik blames current inflation on what she says is “reckless spending” by one party Democratic rule. “I will continue to stand up against reckless government spending and any tax increases, as well as work to rein in out-of-control inflation to bring down the price of gas and groceries,” she said.
