Harassment complaint in Herkimer County results in charge against Poland resident

RUSSIA- A local resident is charged with harassment in Herkimer County.

Amy J. Barbarito, 61, of Poland, NY was arrested and charged on Thursday afternoon by the New York State Police (Herkimer) for one misdemeanor count of aggravated harassment in the second-degree (communicating threat via phone and/or computer and/or mail).

Troopers say the arrest stems from a harassment complaint filed Wednesday evening in the town of Russia.

At press time, authorities said that Barbarito was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
