Herkimer County resident charged for alleged unauthorized use of a vehicle in Newport

NORWAY- A Herkimer County area resident is accused of unauthorized use of a vehicle.

According to the New York State Police (Poland), Jillian J. Jones, 29, of Newport, NY was arrested and charged on Sunday morning with one misdemeanor count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (w/out the owner’s consent).

Troopers said this arrest stems from a complaint filed earlier the same morning in the town of Norway.

At press time, police said that Jones was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
