Hit-and-run involving pick-up truck and parked tow truck in Rome under investigation by New York State Police

ROME- On November 1, 2024, at approximately 4:45 a.m., a pickup truck, operated by a male driver, was traveling north on Turin Road in the city of Rome, NY when it exited the east shoulder of the roadway and struck a parked tow truck in the parking lot of Frank Lamonica and Sons.

According to State Police investigators, the photos above were taken from nearby surveillance cameras.

State Police believe the suspect vehicle to be a 2017-2022 gray Ford F-250 or F-350 with front-end damage, specifically to the fog light.

The truck had a plow attached, and the plow is believed to be damaged, as it was seen on camera scraping the roadway. The plow mount is also likely to be heavily damaged.
