ICYMI: Second person perishes from Rome apartment complex fire; investigation remains ongoing

ROME- More developments have surfaced as investigators continue looking in to Tuesday morning’s apartment complex fire.

As reported, the blaze occurred at Countryside Apartments at 7108 Rome Oriskany Road.

According to the latest released information from the Sheriff’s Office, the female victim, who was found suffering from severe burns in the immediate fire aftermath, has died while in the hospital.

This marks two people who perished in this fire, as authorities found a separate deceased victim in one of the apartments.

Both victim names have yet to be released as of this report, but investigators say more details are expected to be released at another time.
