ROME- There is a good ending to the kayak story from last week.

You likely recall a report that the Sheriff’s Office responded to the Erie Canal after an unoccupied, orange colored kayak was discovered in the area of South James Street and Muck Road.

An initial and thorough search of the area yielded no results, but per the latest updates from Sheriff’s Investigators, the owner of the kayak has been located in good health.

In conclusion, the Sheriff’s Office has no reason to believe that anyone is currently missing from this case.
