
INLET- The Inlet community celebrated another successful Adirondacks Kids Day and fishing derby to kick-off this month.
On October 1, there were 71 kids who signed-up and took part in the 7th annual French Louie Fishing Derby, all part of the 10th annual Adirondacks Kids Day. The largest fish measured in at 9.5” and was caught by Ethan Henry, of Fayetteville, NY.

Age 0-4
- 1st Place – Emmy Vermilyea of Baldwinsville, NY
- 2nd Place – Lily Rogan of Forestport, NY
- 3rd Place – Sarah DePhillips of Baldwinsville, NY
Age 5-8
- 1st Place – Ethan Henry of Fayetteville, NY
- 2nd Place – Amaya Ferguson of Webster, NY
- 3rd Place – Keegan Ferguson of Webster, NY
Age 9-12
- 1st Place – Isaac Gloo of Baldwinsville, NY
- 2nd Place – Parker Bryant of Cazenovia, NY
- 3rd Place – Noah Foster of Inlet, NY
In addition to the fishing derby, the families who attended Adirondack Kids Day enjoyed many other free activities at Arrowhead Park.
There was a bounce house, magic shows, carnival games, geocaching, face painting, balloon twisting, and arts and crafts.
The Inlet Community Church handed out free popcorn and hot cocoa. Plans are already in the works for the 11th annual Adirondack Kids Day, which will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
This year’s event saw over 200 kids who took part in all the fun.
