INLET- A man is accused of violating probation and other offenses that trace back to reports of a domestic incident in the Western Adirondacks over the weekend, authorities say.

Sidney L. Payne III, 33, no address provided (undomiciled), was arrested Sunday morning by the Town of Inlet Police Department. He is officially charged with violation of probation, criminal mischief in the fourth-degree and felony aggravated family offense, according to Chief of Police Ron Johnston.

These charges stem from an alleged domestic dispute between Payne III and family members, police say. It's reported Payne III ripped up the phone service from the wall, all while in an intoxicated state.

The incident took place at 40 Limekiln Road, police said.

During the dispute, Payne III subsequently violated his probation. Hamilton County Court produced a warrant, which led to Payne III being remanded to jail following an arraignment in Long Lake Town Court.

There were no further details released.
