A few things have been changed concerning New York’s latest drought status.
According to the New York State DEC, Jefferson County is currently included with the drought WARNING, which now extends across the entire North Country and Adirondacks (including the Western Adirondacks).

Meanwhile as of this report, Oneida County remains in a drought WATCH. Even with some beneficial rainfall this past week, local officials say we are still a long ways out from achieving what would be considered normal conditions.
Remember, a drought warning means that conditions have begun impacting water supplies, agriculture and the environment.
Under a drought watch, resident are urged to voluntarily conserve water.
