
Governor Kathy Hochul laid out six major goals to address in 2022 and voters seem to believe that she did not execute any progress to achieving them.
This development is according to one of the latest Siena College polls.
From making communities safer to boosting trust in our state government, a convincing majority of voters across New York who participated in the poll suggested that the Governor’s efforts have fallen short of the goals set forth.

With the brand-new legislative session looming in January, 63% of poll participants believe the high costs of living should be a top priority for lawmakers to address in Albany.
The other top issue remains the climbing crime rates statewide.
In terms of her favorability ratings, Hochul faced slightly higher disapproval prior to Election Day. Still, her latest 43% rating is a new high in terms of unfavorable ratings.
