Lewis County Sheriffs Office 2

WATSON- A North Country area resident is accused of violating an order of protection and threatening police in Lewis County.

On Thursday, the Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged Steven M. Bussiere, 58, of Watson, NY with one felony count each of criminal contempt in the first-degree and aggravated family offense.

Both charges reportedly stem from a domestic incident Thursday morning in the town of Watson.

In addition, the New York State Police (Lowville) issued a separate report on Thursday, suggesting that Bussiere was charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree (disobeying court order).

Troopers say this charge stems from a reported domestic incident in the town of Watson.

According to Sheriff’s Deputies, Bussiere made numerous threats while in custody, thus leading to another misdemeanor charge of aggravated harassment.

At press time, police said that Bussiere was arraigned and held on an unspecified bail.
