Lewis County Hospital Foundation: Public phase now underway in raising funds for ongoing capital project

LOWVILLE- Over $1.5 million has been secured during the private phase of the ongoing capital campaign at Lewis County Health System.

With a goal of $2.4 million to be raised, officials from the Hospital Foundation are now announcing the public phase of the campaign, where folks around the North Country are invited to contribute however they can.

“The Hospital Foundation has been working diligently behind the scenes to secure vital funds to support the hospital's $32 million expansion and modernization project,” a statement reads from the Hospital Foundation.

“The private phase of the capital campaign has been a remarkable success, thanks to the generosity of our dedicated donors, foundations and community organizations who recognize the importance of investing in the healthcare infrastructure of Lewis County General Hospital,” the statement added.

Construction crews have been at it now for over a year working to revitalize and modernize several departments for Lowville Hospital.
