Lewis County resident accused of animal abandonment in Copenhagen

COPENHAGEN- A North Country area resident is accused of animal abandonment in Lewis County.

According to the New York State Police (Carthage), Troopers investigated a dog complaint Monday afternoon in the village of Copenhagen, NY.

Investigation led to Clarice C. Callahan, 30, of Copenhagen, NY being charged with a misdemeanor of abandonment of animals.

At press time, police said that Callahan was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
