Lewis County resident accused of intoxicated driving following personal injury crash in New Bremen, Troopers say

NEW BREMEN- A local resident is accused of intoxicated driving, following reports of a personal injury crash late Wednesday in Lewis County.

Dawson D. Schneider, 25, of Castorland, NY was arrested Thursday evening by the New York State Police (Lowville). Schneider is formally charged with one count of DWI (first offense).

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a reported personal injury accident shortly before 11:00 p.m. Wednesday in New Bremen.

However, details describing the nature of the accident were not yet available as of this report.

At press time, police said that an investigation was pending. Meanwhile, Schneider was issued with an appearance ticket.
