Lewis County resident arrested in Lowville on a warrant as fugitive

LOWVILLE- A local North Country resident is waiting to be extradited after being arrested as a fugitive on a warrant.

On Saturday, Jeffrey Hudgins, 56, of Lowville, NY was arrested by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant from the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office in the state of Virginia.

At press time, Deputies said that Hudgins was arraigned and held at the county jail, without bail, awaiting extradition via the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.

Details regarding the nature of the arrest were not explained by Sheriff’s Investigators.
