Lewis County woman accused of felony rape, endangering the welfare of a child for having sexual intercourse with minor

CROGHAN- A local woman from the North Country is accused of rape and endangering the welfare of a child in Lewis County, authorities say.

Following a joint investigation between the Sheriff’s Office in Lowville, NY and the Fort Campbell Army CID Unit, Nicole L. Lyndaker, 43, of Croghan, NY was arrested and charged on Wednesday with three felony counts of rape in the third-degree and four misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

According to investigators, Lyndaker allegedly had sexual intercourse with a child (less than 17-years-of-age) between December, 2020 and January, 2022.

Following processing at the Public Safety Building, authorities said that Lyndaker was arraigned in Lewis County CAP Court and released on her own recognizance.

There were no further details provided.
