Local resident accused in Jefferson County domestic dispute, Troopers say

WEST CARTHAGE- A North Country resident is faced with a pair of charges, which were filed in the wake of a domestic dispute investigation this month in Jefferson County, authorities say.

Andre L. Morgan, 33, of West Carthage, NY was arrested Thursday morning by the New York State Police (Carthage). Morgan is officially charged with one misdemeanor count each of assault (recklessly causing physical injury) and criminal mischief in the fourth-degree (preventing emergency call).

According to Troopers, these charges stem from complaints of an alleged domestic incident, which was reported to authorities on January 1.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending. Morgan was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
