Local resident charged for allegedly violating protection order in Trenton, Troopers say

TRENTON- A local resident is accused of violating a court order in Oneida County.

New York State Police (Remsen) announced the arrest of Richard K. Wheatley, 47, of Prospect, NY on Wednesday afternoon for misdemeanor criminal contempt in the second-degree (disobeying court order).

Troopers said this arrest stems from a complaint filed earlier that afternoon in the town of Trenton.

At press time, Wheatley’s arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.

There were no further details provided.
