Local resident charged with aggravated DWI, unlicensed operation in town of Russia, according to State Police

RUSSIA- A local resident from near the Kuyahoora Valley area is accused of aggravated intoxicated driving in Herkimer County, authorities say.

Savana L. Sherwood, 32, of Poland, NY was arrested Wednesday evening by the New York State Police (Herkimer). Sherwood is formally charged with one count each of aggravated DWI, DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges were all issued in the town of Russia. At press time, police said an investigation was pending.

Sherwood was issued with an appearance ticket.
