Local resident charged with falsifying business records, criminally possessing stolen property and false written statement in town of Lee, Troopers say

LEE- A North Country resident is faced with felony and misdemeanor charges in Oneida County, authorities say.

Cody J. Wood, 35, of Port Leyden, NY was arrested Wednesday morning by the New York State Police (Oneida). Wood is formally charged with one felony count each of falsifying business records in the first-degree and criminally possessing stolen property in the fourth-degree, along with one misdemeanor count of false written statement.

According to Troopers, these charges all stem from complaints of an unauthorized use of a vehicle incident in the town of Lee.

The complaint was filed on July 30. At press time, police said that Wood was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
