Local resident from Ava accused of felony unlicensed operation and DWAI in town of Western, Troopers say

WESTERN- A local resident is accused of impaired driving by drugs and alcohol in Oneida County, authorities say.

Dorothy L. Sherboneau, 37, of Ava, NY was arrested late Tuesday night by the New York State Police (Lee). Sherboneau is formally charged with one count of DWAI (drugs/alcohol) and one felony count of aggravated unlicensed operation in the first-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges were issued in the town of Ava.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending and Sherboneau’s arrest status was listed as held.

There were no further details provided.
