Local resident accused of felony DWI in Oneida County: NYSP

TRENTON- A resident from the Kuyahoora Valley area is faced with several charges, including felonies, for alleged intoxicated driving in Oneida County, authorities say.

Shannon M. Eaton, 45, of Newport, NY was arrested Sunday night by the New York State Police (Remsen). Eaton is officially charged with one felony count each of DWI (previous conviction within 10-years); operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC) and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first-degree; along with one misdemeanor count of using a vehicle w/out an interlock device.

According to Troopers, these charges were all filed in the town of Trenton Sunday night.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending. Eaton was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
